NOMINATION PACKET FOR THE 2018 GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL

The Office of the North Carolina Governor’s School is no longer receiving nominations for the 2018 session. The deadline was November 14, 2017. The Nomination Packet will remain available for reference purposes only.

AUDITIONS FOR PERFORMING/VISUAL ARTS NOMINEES FOR THE 2018 GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL

  • Invitation Letters – In early to mid-January, each student whose nomination has been sent by the school/system to the state level will be mailed an audition invitation letter with date, location, preparation and other important details. 
  • Audition Dates/Locations – The dates/locations for the in-person auditions are:

  • General audition details are on pages 7-8 of the Nomination Packet, still available at http://www.ncgovschool.org/docs/nomination/2018/nomination.pdf (pdf, 958kb). Students, families and staff should already be familiarizing themselves with these details.

  • Alternate Audition (Video) Option
    • If a student cannot attend the scheduled in-person audition event, except for Dance, for any planned reason (e.g., schedule conflict, travel issues, finances, etc.), the school may request and receive permission to administer and video-record an audition at the school to privately upload to YouTube. More information is available here.
