GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL DANCE
AUDITIONS 2019

Nominees in Dance will have two options for the in-person audition.

  • Saturday, February 9 – Meredith College, Raleigh
  • Saturday, February 16 – Statesville High School, Statesville

A student may attend either audition but not both. There is not a sign-up for these auditions; simply sign in at either site. Failure to attend either audition results in a nomination forfeiture.

The audition for the North Carolina Governor’s School in Dance is conducted with all nominees together in a modern dance class; therefore, a prepared routine is not necessary. Ballet shoes are not to be worn; nominees will be auditioning in their bare feet. No costumes will be necessary. Nominees must stay until dismissed by the judges.

Students will be emailed information about other details (locations, times, dates, preparations, etc.) several weeks prior to the audition days.
